Even though stretch marks appear in both men and women, pregnant ladies get them often.
What causes stretch marks?
Stretch marks appear when the dermis is torn. Pregnancy, obesity and growing (during puberty) can overstretch the skin. The overstretching creates indented stripes in the skin.
Genetics plays a part in this skin condition. If your mom had stretch marks, then you’re likely to get them, as well. Other causes include rapid weight gain or loss and high hormonal levels.

Products To Try
There is no magical potion to erase stretch marks. But, some products deliver ingredients to stimulate collagen synthesis. This, in turn, makes the scars less noticeable. Before you try any new product do a skin patch test. If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, read any warning labels on the products.
